Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After your early morning breakfast,you will be welcomed by our company driver guide who will transfer you to Kibale forest national park-a journey that will take approximately six hours. After getting to the national park, you will directly go to your lodge for dinner and relaxing after the long journey.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Tour
After having early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters where you will be given a safety and tracking briefing. You will then be taken by vehicle to a starting point, to commence your chimpanzee trek in the forest. After this phenomenal wildlife experience, you will return to your vehicle on the edge of the forest and be driven back to primate lodge for lunch. You will later take an afternoon tour in the Bigodi swamp sanctuary where you will view a number of birds and other primates and later return to your lodge for meals and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast prior to departing for Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth national park and watch out for eye-catching big game on the way like elephants, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs and other wildlife. In the afternoon, relax while having lunch in Kihihi town or take a walk to the bustling market of Kihihi and later continue to Bwindi arriving in the evening at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the national park headquarters for a briefing and later head to the jungle to meet the most endangered apes -the mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. The trek in search for mountain gorillas takes about 1 to 8 hours and after getting to the mountain gorillas, you will be given an hour to interact with the gorillas and take photographs. After the mountain gorilla encounter, you will be directed back to your lodge for relaxing. If you are interested you can go for a Batwa community visit.
Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe airport for departure
After breakfast, transfer to Mbarara through the magnificent scenery of Kabale, arriving in time for lunch at Igongo Hotel. Later drive back to Kampala, arriving in the evening to transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight.
