8 Days Wildlife and Primates Safari

Day 1: Equator –Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depart from Kampala early in the morning. Our first stopover will be at the Equator for a bathroom break and equator experience. Dance, sing, jump between thehemispheres as you snap away tocapture the memories. Proceed to Mbarara town for lunch and in the afternoon game drive to your lodge in/ around Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in and relax, Kuamka Tours is at your service.

Day 2: Game drive –Katwe Salt Lake – Launch cruise

Early morning breakfast and we depart for the morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of the park. Keep your eyes peeled for the lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and many more plethora of world life, birds, and amazing scenery among others. In the afternoon after your lunch, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel; a channel that joins two lakes that is Lake Edward and Lake George, its stunning, its beautiful if you love birds, you will even be blown away the more. Return to your lodge for the night.

Day 3:Game drive –Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, another game drive awaits you. You can never get tired of seeing animal in their natural habitats, never! Another rewarding one today. Return to your lodge, freshen up and you will then be transferred to Kibale National Park. Lunch will be in a town called Fort Portal.

Day 4: Chimp tracking –Bigodi community walk

In the morning, you will go chimp tracking in the forest of Kibale. It is also known as the primate capital of the world because it has over 13 species of primates found here. With your ranger guide you will mount a search following trails in the forest, on spotting them, you will be allowed an hour with then and then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit a local community home to the great blue turaco and other bird species, take a swamp walk through the communities, interact with them and in the evening return to the lodge.

Day 5: Semuliki National Park –Nature walk, Sempaya hotspring

An early rise, have breakfast and you will be transferred to Semuliki National Park. A distance covering 2 hours from fort portal. This is a birders paradise, you will have a chance to spot quite a number of Albertine endemic bird species. Also you will take a nature walk climaxing all with a visit to the amazing female and male hot springs also known as the Sempaya Hotsprings. In the evening, you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up at leisure, have breakfast and you will later be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home of over half of the surviving mountain gorillas. You will arrive in the midafternoon, check into your hotel, soak in the views of the African forests, rolling hills and take in wild breathes of fresh air. Get enough rest tomorrow is Gorilla tracking.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking

An early rise, have breakfast and with packed lunch, you will be taken to the briefing point where you will find other trackers. After the brief you will start the journey to the African jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of the gorillas. Depending on where they are, the trek takes between one hour to even 6 hours or more. Once spotted you will be allowed a hour with the gorilla family, take photos and then trek back to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Kampala/ Airport

Today is our final day, but before we exit the fore stand head for the airport. Duration:8day
